Restrepo is a documentary following a company in Afghanistan’s Koregan Valley, known as the deadliest place on earth. The two journalists spent one year with the company, in the Restrepo outpost (named after Restrepo’s death) and followed them during operations.
This documentary is really tough, showing no blood, but images of soldiers fear, sadness, happiness. There are some combat scenes but the place is such that they cannot even see what they fight against. Added to that, the soldiers tell their point of you of stories and memories. The worst is that we can clearly see the consequences of fifteen months there, on these men.
