Emmett Maloy

The camera followed the White Stripes during their Canada Tour in 2007 to promote Icky Thump. They went, not only to the biggest cities, but also to the most unknown and isolated parts of the country and played in many different types of venues!

This documentary is more than a serie of live songs put together. We also see the band travelling around Canada, learning about the cultures… A lot of emotions come out of this documentary.

The photography is really good as well, sometime black & white, sometime black & white + red… It looks like the movie has been shot the camera on the shoulder; the effect is not at all annoying and makes you a part of the band.

Jack and Meg are real muscicians and hard worker. They have plenty of good ideas, like doing free shows in Bowling center, on a boat…
